James Washington, a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers who left the league in 2022, is making a return to the NFL.

The 28-year-old Washington last played for the Cowboys in 2022. During team training camp, he sustained a Jones fracture to his right foot, which required surgery. When he rejoined the Cowboys in December of that season, he saw action in just two games but managed just one target and zero catches. After spending four seasons with the Steelers (2018–2021), including 25 starts, as a former second-round choice, he caught 114 passes for 1,629 yards and 11 touchdowns in 60 games.
